LCV Panel Beater - Atherton

 

 

Tasks will including repairs to body panels, welding. The ability to carry out strip / fitting is essential.

 

 Varied Duties Including:

• Body Repairs (Panel beating / panel pulling / body filling)

• Strip/fit (Remove & refit panels / doors / wings and associated components)

• Efficient and conscientious worker

• Abilities or qualification in welding (MIG).

• Carry out chassis jig repairs.

• Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.

• Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.

• Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.

• To communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager

• Duties to include the use of hand tools, pistol drills, riveters, MIG welders and Oxy - Acetylene torches.

 

Alongside the above roles you will be required to get involved with other

aspects of the repairs as required including general workshop duties.

 

Ideally have full clean licence but not essential.

 

Hourly rate between £11 and £13 dependent upon experience

Parts Assistant - Atherton

 

We are currently seeking to recruit a Commercial Vehicle Parts Assistant to work at our Atherton Depot. As

an Assistant Parts person you will be required to liaise with customers, parts suppliers and work colleagues

to assist and ensure LGV and commercial vehicle paint and panel repairs are carried out efficiently and

correctly. You will be responsible for assisting with the smooth running of the Parts Department and the

administration for the depot.

 

The business requires a high standard of work and customer care must be first class.
Attention to detail and excellent organisation skills are essential qualities for this key role within the Depot.

 

      The role will involve the following but not limited to:

  • Identifying parts
  • Pricing parts
  • Adding parts to estimates with mark up
  • Ordering parts - ensuring that the parts are available for the job at the correct time
  • Checking parts
  • Ensure parts used are booked out accurately to the job.
  • Returning Parts promptly if not required.
  • Checking and keeping on top of consumables stock
  • Checking and keeping on top of paint stock
  • Raising PO numbers
  • Chasing invoices for WIP
  • Setting up accounts
  • Raise job cards as required and updating jobs on the system in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Ensure job cards are completed and signed correctly.
  • Review system status reports to ensure no job has missed being completed.
  • Update job times for fitters for each job worked on from clock cards.
  • Liaise with customers regarding scheduling and completion of work.
  • Update customers regarding any extra authority required and forwarding estimates as required.
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with queries.
  • Assisting with costing of the jobs.
  • Promote Health and Safety within the depot.
  • Act in a professional manner at all times.
  • Undertake any reasonable duty specified by the Depot Manager.

    Ideally hold a full clean driving licence.

Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm, working out of these hours along with some Saturdays will be required as the business dictates

HGV Technicians - Haydock

Due to expansion we are looking to take on HGV Technicians on a rolling 4 on 4 off shift over 8 days, working 6am – 6pm

 

· Required to work in busy Trailer/HGV workshop, previous experience is essential.

· Work to include carrying out service and maintenance of predominantly trailers but also HGV and LGV.

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm - 42.5 hours, 30 min lunchbreak unpaid,

The Job:

- To assist Depot / Service Manager to manage and develop the Service Department, provide technical support
   to staff and customers.
- To ensure that maximum utilisation and quality is achieved from the workshop and customer satisfaction is
   achieved.

- To ensure that repairs and services to vehicles are carried out efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

Responsibilities:

•To correctly interpret instructions from the job card/repair orders, to follow all documented quality procedures and to ensure that Service Technicians comply with repair instructions and stipulated settings and tolerances from manufacturer manuals bulletins check sheets etc.

•To obtain and record any necessary technical information by following documented procedures.

•To analyse and report the training needs of allocated staff.


•To allocate, and supervise all work done to ensure the highest possible standard of workmanship and efficiency as per industry guidelines, in order to ensure the maximum utilisation of time available. To ensure that Service Technicians are qualified to do the work allocated.


•To ensure that work is completed by the times required and report any likely delays to the service receptionist / customer as early as possible.


•To check and test vehicles and work, as required by documented procedures.


•To ensure that work done and tests carried out are accurately reported and recorded and to immediately report any further work required or vehicle faults, as laid down in documented procedures.


•To advise the service reception / customer of any parts delays or extra parts required. To order agreed parts from the appropriate supplier.


•To ensure that all displaced parts are immediately clearly identified and / or placed in quarantine areas, as required by documented procedures.


•To ensure that Customers and the Company’s property are protected.


•To ensure that the workshop is kept in a clean and tidy condition and all scrap, etc. is removed immediately upon completion of each repair.


•To maintain own appearance and manner in order to present the best possible image to Customers.


•To accurately report and record work done and tests carried out and to immediately report any further work required or vehicle faults.


•To protect and maintain all tools and equipment by only using them in the prescribed manner and returning them to their place of storage immediately after use. To immediately report any loss, shortage, damage or malfunction of tools and equipment or if any additional tools or equipment are required to complete the repair.


•To carry out tests and checks as necessary on completed work


•To provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.


•To undertake such other tasks as may reasonably be required.


• To maintain discipline and security in the workshop and good working relationships with other staff and Customers.


• To enhance the image and reputation of the company whilst supporting its commercial interests.


• To comply with good health and safety practice, all statutory requirements, company policies and standard procedures.

VDA Estimator - Atherton CV Accident Repair Centre

The Job:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator/VDA for our large CV Accident Repair Centre in Atherton which is part of the successful STC group. The ideal candidate will be an experienced HGV and LCV body work estimator working alongside the Repair Centre Manager.

You will be responsible for building relationships and liaising with insurance companies, suppliers and customers whilst maximising sales opportunities. Highly respected within the industry and numerous contracts and work providers keeps the site very busy.

Job Role:

- You will be required to collate estimates on body repairs to accident damaged vehicles using the Audatex computerised  
  estimating system.

- You will calculate the time required to complete all necessary repairs and inform the body shop of the authorisation of
  additional work needed.

- Following completion of the estimates, you will be required to negotiate the repair costs with insurance engineers and
  provide a breakdown of the repair costs for the customer.

Skills and Experience:

- Strong leadership skills

- The ability to work under pressure

- Excellent Problem solving skills

- The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative

- Must have previous experience as an Estimator, ideally be ATA qualified and have an up to date Audatex certificate

- The successful VDA – Estimator will be joining a busy and stable accident repair body shop which is part of STC Group with
  several depots across the North West.

Mon to Fri 7am to 5pm, some Saturdays will be required as the business dictates

Up to £30k dependent on experience plus company van provided, laptop and mobile phone provided for business purposes.
